Wanda Smith was one of Atlanta radio’s most beloved voices, known for her long tenure. on V-103’s Frank Ski and Wanda morning show and providing listeners with humor, commentary, and cultural insights.
Shannon Sharpe of the Club Shay Shay podcast asked Katt Williams in January 2024 about their well-publicized 2018 feud between V-103 host Wanda Smith and himself.

Katt Williams is known to make no apologies when criticizing fellow comedians, especially when performing live on air. Therefore, it was no shock when he launched an attack against the host of V-103’s Frank and Wanda in the Morning show during his recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Frank and Wanda Smith of the Morning show asked Shay podcast about their long-running feud during a live episode. It extended beyond one episode’s worth of content, ultimately leading to them appearing together on air.
At an interview taped for Atlanta Comedy Theater before their scheduled performance, Smith insulted Williams’ “played-out perm.” That triggered an explosion of insults between them and video footage soon went viral, documenting their exchange.
In January 2019, months after her infamous interview, Smith was dismissed from V-103 without explanation; though its cause remains undetermined. Many speculated that Williams’ dispute played some part. After the incident, Lamorris Sellers claimed that Williams drew his gun in front of him, even though there was no proof. Sellers and Williams pointed weapons at each other at Food Mart, but Gwinnett County Police found no evidence of this in the surveillance footage.

Katt Williams was on a radio show with fellow comedian and V103 host Wanda Smith when things turned unpleasant. They got into a verbal fight, which eventually led to Katt making threats against Wanda.
A viral video captured this exchange, leading Wanda Smith to quit her station and eventually leave altogether. Since then, she has mostly remained out of public view; however, recently, her social media accounts have become active again.
LaMorris Sellers, Wanda Smith’s husband, has come forward to clear up any confusion. Williams denied that he approached him outside Atlanta Comedy Theater after their fight, brandishing a gun. However, when he pursue Williams into a nearby Food Depot, the gun fell out of and was not pointed at him.
Wanda Smith has long been known for her radio and comedy career but is also an integral member of the BET series Wild ‘N Out. Her role as Fred earned critical acclaim, and she’s been on for three seasons, earning another credit for the HBO series The Last O.G.

Wanda was born October 11, 1966, in Miami, Florida. Since then, she has enjoyed a storied career as a comedian and radio personality, writing for Def Comedy Jam and founding Girls Stand Together, an organization promoting female empowerment.
In 2018 she made headlines for engaging in an on-air fight with comedian Katt Williams. What had started as harmless banter quickly turned into an exchange of insults that went viral. Video footage captured this epic battle.
Many were shocked when Smith was fired shortly after apologizing for her actions, despite her popularity and long tenure at the station.
Williams addressed his infamous verbal exchange with Wanda Smith during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay. He also criticized several prominent comedians and entertainers, such as Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart, Chris Tucker, and Cedric the Entertainer. In response to questions regarding these allegations, Williams defended himself, saying he was simply trying to be humorous.

Two Georgia counties recently banned Katt Williams due to his numerous off-stage misbehaviors. As part of a plea agreement, he will have to stay clear of Hall and Dawson Counties. In addition, he will pay $7,500 as restitution for various incidents with police.
On Wednesday, Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast featured comedian Phonte Williams. Williams was questioned about his feud with Wanda Smith during the interview. The dispute arose from Smith’s accusations against Williams on air, claiming he was arrogant due to Williams’ criticism of her on social media. The most notable confrontation took place outside the Atlanta Comedy Theater. During their debates on air, Smith accused Williams of being arrogant for blasting her in social media posts he posted criticizing her; Smith also accused him of attacking her while on air accusing Williams accused Williams of acting unjustifiably by responding in kind and accusing Williams accused Smith of acting up towards Smith. During their heated exchange on air, Williams accused Wanda Smith of attacking Williams of being arrogant before her appearances at shows where Shannon Sharpe’s show asked both to explain away from clashing outside Atlanta Comedy Theatre last summer.
Concerning this particular encounter, Sellers claimed he was following Williams because she was cursing at him without reason. He admitted having a gun but insisted it wasn’t pointed at anyone; according to Sellers’ claim, a weapon fell out while running after Williams, and he stopped to retrieve it, while video from a nearby Food Depot suggested no such gun was present at any point during this run-in.
Williams’ run-ins with police did not end there, however. On February 28, the stand-up star threatened his bodyguard with death and watched as one member of his entourage beat him with a baseball bat at his Gainesville, Georgia, residence. When cops searched his property later on they discovered black tar heroin and marijuana on it.
